Just a few cards

I haven't posted any cards lately so thought I'd get a few posted that I've done over the last few weeks. I'm finally starting to remember to take pictures before giving them to their recipients.

This first one is my all time favorite that I've made to this point. This is made with the Rose Rhapsody SU Set. LOVE IT!

Pocket Silhouettes is another of my favorites.
And this adorable little guy is a SCAL file I downloaded. He was too cute and my mom loves teddy bears so I had to have him.

Well it's bedtime, so I'll have to post more tomorrow. Not much scrapping tonight - just playing with my new SU Markers....I can already tell I'm going to have a lot of fun with those.

Hello, my name is Tammy and I'm a Stampin' Up! addict

Well they say the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. I am so addicted to the Stampin' Up! products it's not funny. Though I don't believe that me admitting it is really going to stop me from buying. :) That's part of the reason I signed up to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, to help pay for my addiction.

I signed up last week and my Starter Kit and first order arrived today. Three boxes - two of which weighed over 30 pounds. It's all Beth and Mandy's fault. :) Beth got me hooked on scrapbooking about a year ago and well the rest is history. Then we, wait I think it was actually BETH, met Mandy on the Cricut Message Board. Well Mandy is a Stampin' Up! demo (a darn good one might I add), and she helped answer some questions for us about stamping, and before we know it Beth and I are hooked. So if you can't beat 'em, join 'em right?

Here is the WHOLE stash that arrived today (starter kit and my first order).

So let's break it down. This is the "tools" from my Starter Kit. Chalks, Blender Pens, Adhesive, Versamark pad, stamp cleaner and pad. And the cardboard is the Home Decor element I was able to get with the starter kit as well. It's the Baroque Flourish and little flowers in Chocolate Chip. ...it's really cool.

Stamp Pads...got to pick 5. I went with the naturals and the one In-Color I didn't already have. I've bought two of the stamp familes already, and am on the fence on if I'll buy the other two families, or just pick the ones I like out of the sets.
And my Stamps....Garden Greetings, Baroque Motifs (Beth has this one and I love it), Full of Life, On Your Birthday and Lovely Letters Alphabet (great for monogram cards).

So remember I said I was an ADDICT - the stampin up paper is one of my major weakness. Did I say MAJOR, yep. Here you can see the stack of 12X12 (left) and 8.5X11 (right) packs I got with a ruler in between them. Hard to read I know...3 inches on the left and 6 inches on the right....that's 9 inches of cardstock. OMG! But in defense, 6 packs on the right are of Baja Breeze which is one of my wedding colors, and just so happens to be an In-Color and will be retired at the end of June. And the wedding isn't till May 2010. Yep over a year...so I am stocking up on the paper since I intend to make my invites and announcements.

Ribbon, more stamp pads (see that Tangerine Tango one? Somehow I ended up ordering one in my starter and one in my order as well....Julene that one is all your fault!!). I had to get a set of the markers and crayons to try....you can't be a good demo if you haven't used the products right? (Yep that's what I keep telling myself). And a few ink refills.

I so can't wait to play with two of these next ones. The Simple Flower Embosslit cuts and embosses. And the Manhattan Flower embossing folder. I've seen some beautiful cards with these two.
Again - a demo can't do her job if she hasn't tried all the tools. :) So some of the daubers and sponges. And Twill tape
The stamp sets from my order - Echoes of Kindness (Hostess Level 1 gift), Inspired by Nature (oh man I've drolled over this one for a while now), and off in the distance - 3 of the Sale-A-Bration sets that you can pick from for every $50 you spend. These are extra sets (I already have all the sets in my personal collection - see told you I am an addicted), that I thought would make cool door prizes for a party or workshop.

So now the fun part........PLAYING!!! Not sure how much I will get to play tonight as it's pushing bedtime, but you can bet I'll be spending a lot of time in Scrapper's Paradise after work this week. I'll post some projects later in the week.

So there ya have it.....I am an addict, and LOVIN' every minute of it! :) Thanks Beth and Mandy!

Good Night all!

Engagement Party Invites

For those that don't know...though I can't imagine anyone not knowing (LOL).....I'M GETTING MARRIED!!! Troy proposed on Christmas Eve. Anyhow, back to the reason for this post....my Best Friend Beth and her husband Mark are throwing us an engagement party (yes Engagement Party #2 for those that follow my blog closely). It just so happened to work out that Troy's mom, brother and sister along with my mom are able to fly in for this one. We are all so excited.

Okay back on track again....these are the invites that Beth and Kelly made for the party. They are so BEAUTIFUL!! My wedding colors are Blue - specifically Stampin' Up!'s Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy. And since we are getting married on the beach in St Thomas we had to go with a beach theme. I love them!

The top part of the inside (don't have Troy home tonight to photo shop out Beth's address and phone # and didn't think she'd appreciate me posting that on the internet).

New Nestabilities Storage

As all scrapbookers & paper crafters do, I've reorganized a little bit. I had been storing my Nestabilites in CD cases with magnet strips and it just wasn't working for me. I need them OUT and VISIBLE. So came up with the idea to get some of the long BYGEL rails from IKEA and the S-hooks to go with it, then create something to hold the nesties that would hang.

Here is a picture of the new rails and the Nesties hanging. The upper left is two of the small baskets that hold my Cuttlebug Dies and Embossing folders (see pic below), then the larger basket holds the plates, rubber mats, and shims I use.

All right there were I can SEE it and easily get to it. LOVE IT!!!

Close-up of the baskets that the CB and Sizzix embossing folders and dies fit into perfectly.

And finally the Nesties. I took a peace of cardboard and covered it with Cardstock. Then took these cool adhesive rolls of Magnet that Michael's carries. (Make sure you get the adhesive kind as they have several different ones). The magnet doesn't have to be this large, but with the scalloped ones it seemed to work best as they don't "nest" so well.

Thanks for stopping by!

Engagement Party in the 'Hood

Last night the neighborhood threw us an engagement party. What fun we had!! Special thanks to the Johnson's for opening their home to everyone, and to the Heisers and Cruz's for helping with planning and preparation. We love you guys!!

Here are just a few pictures from the evening - Troy was not allowed to take pictures (until the end when we let him take a few of Natalia) and I think it about killed him. LOL

The cake - oh so yummy!
